RF Needling with Vivace
Microneedling + radiofrequency for advanced skin remodelling.
RF Needling combines two technologies in one treatment: controlled microneedling and radiofrequency energy.
At Pelci, we use Vivace RF Microneedling, which uses 36 insulated, gold-tipped microneedles to deliver controlled radiofrequency energy at selected depths within the skin.
The combination creates controlled micro-injury while delivering heat within the tissue, stimulating the skin's natural healing response and collagen remodelling.
We use RF Needling when we're looking for a more intensive approach to concerns such as loss of firmness, fine lines, enlarged pores, acne scarring and uneven skin texture.
-
RF Needling may be recommended for:
Fine lines / Loss of firmness / Crepey skin / Enlarged pores / Uneven texture / Acne scarring / Overall skin rejuvenation
Your treatment is customised according to your skin, the area being treated and what we're trying to achieve.

Both treatments use microneedles to create controlled micro-injuries within the skin, stimulating a natural wound-healing response.
The difference is that RF Needling also delivers radiofrequency energy at controlled depths within the tissue.
This gives us an additional thermal component when we're targeting more established changes in skin firmness and texture.
Traditional Skin Needling with Exceed remains an excellent treatment for collagen remodelling, fine lines, texture and acne scarring. RF Needling isn't automatically the “better” treatment and we'll recommend it when the additional radiofrequency component makes sense for your skin and treatment goals.
-
You'll feel pressure and warmth as the device moves across the treatment area.
A topical anaesthetic may be used before treatment to make the experience more comfortable.
-
Some social downtime should be expected.
Immediately following treatment, the skin will usually appear pink or red and may feel warm, tight or mildly swollen.
On some occasions - rough texture, pinpoint bleeding and mild scabbing can occur.
For many clients, visible redness settles relatively quickly (much faster than Exceed Needling), although everyone's response is different.
We'll give you specific post-treatment instructions based on your treatment.
-
RF Needling works through a gradual healing and collagen-remodelling process, so the final result isn't immediate.
You may notice changes in how the skin looks and feels relatively early, while improvements associated with collagen remodelling develop progressively over the following weeks and months.
-
This depends on your skin, concern and treatment goals.
Over time we have found that a series of three treatments for new clients, generally spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance according to individual skin goals and circumstances.
We won't automatically prescribe the same course for everyone. Your treatment plan will be based on what we're treating and how your skin responds.

Both Exceed Skin Needling and Vivace RF Needling create controlled micro-injury to stimulate the skin's natural healing response and collagen remodelling. The difference is that Vivace also delivers controlled radiofrequency energy into the tissue.
At Pelci, we may favour Exceed Skin Needling when our primary goal is collagen remodelling for concerns such as acne scarring, fine lines, enlarged pores and uneven texture.
We may choose Vivace RF Needling when we want to combine microneedling with controlled thermal energy — particularly where loss of firmness, crepey skin or more established textural change is part of the concern.
One isn't automatically better than the other. Your skin thickness, facial anatomy, concern, treatment history and desired level of intervention all influence which treatment we recommend.

Vivace: controlled microneedling + RF energy + collagen remodelling -
RF Needling may be used to improve the appearance of acne scarring and uneven post-acne texture.
Acne scars aren't all the same, however. Scar type, depth and tethering influence which treatment is most appropriate, so we'll assess your skin before recommending RF Needling as part of a scar treatment plan.
-
No. We'll assess your medical history, medications, current skin condition and recent treatments before proceeding.
There are circumstances where treatment may need to be modified, postponed or avoided.
These include but not limited to pregnancy, breastfeeding, implanted electronic devices, Isotretinoin use and some medical conditions and medications.
-
You don't need to decide based on which technology sounds more advanced.
At Pelci, we'll recommend Skin Needling, RF Needling or another treatment entirely according to your skin, the concern we're treating, your tolerance for downtime and the level of intervention that's appropriate.

You may have seen discussions online about radiofrequency treatments causing unwanted facial fat loss. It's a reasonable question — and one worth understanding properly.
Radiofrequency is capable of affecting different tissues depending on where the energy is delivered, how much energy is used and how the treatment is performed. Unwanted loss of subcutaneous fat has been reported as a potential complication of RF microneedling, so we don't dismiss the concern.
The aim of facial RF Needling at Pelci is dermal skin remodelling — not fat reduction.
This is why treatment isn't performed using one standard depth or energy setting across the entire face. Facial skin and underlying anatomy vary considerably from one area to another, and Vivace allows us to adjust needle depth and RF delivery accordingly. The manufacturer's own treatment guidance emphasises selecting depth according to facial anatomy and notes that deeper treatment is not automatically better.
We take a conservative, anatomy-led approach and select treatment depth and energy according to the area being treated, your skin and the outcome we're trying to achieve.
With RF Needling, more energy and greater depth don't automatically mean a better result. Appropriate treatment selection and technique matter.
